Door to Door Solicitation Laws
Dear Residents:
Did you know the Town of Milliken has Door to Door Solicitation Laws?
The Town of Milliken requires ALL Door-to-Door Solicitors to have an approved license and I.D. badge issued by the Town. If someone comes to your door you have the right to ask to see the badge, if they do not have one, please inform the police department on their non-emergency phone line. Each individual is required to have their own badge. The Town does not issue one badge or license to a company.
The Town of Milliken has set hours for solicitors. It is unlawful for any person to engage in residential door-to-door solicitation before the hours of 9:00 a.m. and after the earlier of 7:30 p.m. or one half-hour after sunset Monday through Saturday. Sunday’s solicitation hours are from noon until 5:00 p.m.
All solicitation, including door-to-door solicitation, is prohibited by posting a “No Solicitation” or “No Trespassing” sign.
