Mission Statement

The Department of Community Development includes the Planning, Building, and Economic Development functions to create a vital, cohesive, well-designed community necessary to enhance, strengthen, and nurture its small town character while embracing new opportunities for community development. By combining planning, building, and economic development into one, the Town of Milliken has streamlined planning, building project review and inspections to provide predictability and certainty in the development process. Together, the Community Development Department guides the town’s growth and development in a manner that protects and enhances the the community’s quality of life, so it can continue to be called “home”.
