Parks Maintenance Worker
POSITION SUMMARY AND DEFINITION:

The Public Works Maintenance Worker positions are the field personnel who make the parks and public works departments operational.  They are responsible for the day-to-day operational functions.  It is the responsibility of the labor force to adhere to the highest personnel standards and make sure each and every job is done in a professional manner. 
Responsible for the proper and efficient completion of public works tasks, including but not limited to: streets, utilities, facilities, and storm drainage maintenance under the supervision of the Parks Director; and general equipment and laborer duties as assigned.   For more information click here.  
Hiring Range is $40,000-$43,000 DOQ.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, pension, vacation, holiday, and sick time.

Police Officer

POSITION SUMMARY AND DEFINITION: Police officers help ensure public safety and enhance the quality of life in Milliken, through law enforcement, the investigation of incidents and crime, the resolution of community problems, proactive policing, and crime prevention, all while protecting the public’s civil liberties.       
Requirements:  21 years of age or older, Authorization to work in the United States, Must be able to legally possess/carry a firearm, possess a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or G.E.D.  Colorado P.O.S.T certified, No felony convictions or convictions of moral turpitude.  Physically fit, including hearing and color perception, and the ability to fully protect oneself, fellow officers and the public, and capable of successfully pursuing and apprehending suspects in a variety of physically demanding situations.   Spanish language skills, in addition to English, are helpful.  For more information click here.
Salary:  Starting $57,750.00 with laterals that have 3-5 yrs. exp., starting at $64,137.00.   Benefits include FPPA pension, medical, dental, vision, life, disability,  vacation, holiday, and sick time.
