Grant Funds Awarded to the Town of Milliken!
Congratulations to the Town of Milliken on being awarded an Energy/Mineral Impact Grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. The $750,000.00 awarded to the Town will assist in funding the $1.5 million Cherry Street Drainage Improvement Project.
The Town has experienced continuous flooding along Cherry Street, which has been identified as a high priority within the Town’s Stormwater Master Plan. History of this area has shown widespread flooding due to the lack of adequate drainage infrastructure. Flood events place the residents and property in harm’s way. This project will allow the Town to construct the necessary stormwater infrastructure, replace and add new roadways, curb/gutter and sidewalks on Cherry Street.
