Milliken Path Improvements Construction Project & Road Closure Notice

Great News – Milliken Path Improvements Construction Project is Underway!

Construction of Three (3) Railroad Pedestrian Crossings Project is set to start Monday, July 27th.   The project will take approximately six (6) weeks to complete and includes several full and partial road closures.  

Highway 60/Broad Street – This pedestrian crossing will be located on the south side of Highway 60/Broad Street, from Dorothy east connecting to the existing sidewalk.   This section will require the Eastbound lane of Highway 60/Broad Street to be closed from Ethel to Aragon, on Monday July 27th and Tuesday July 28th.   Flaggers will be in place to assist with traffic control in both directions.   Delays in traffic should be anticipated.  Traffic Control Plan.

Alice Ave – This pedestrian crossing will provide a connection to the east and west side of Alice Ave south of Traders Junction.  This section will require a full closer of Alice Ave., from the south entrance of Traders Junction to Traildust Drive from August 5th through August 7th.  Signage will be in place for detour routes.   Homes along Alice Ave, south of the railroad tracks, which are located in closure area will be provided access in and out.  Traffic Control Plan.

Inez Blvd. /CR 46 – This pedestrian crossing will be located on the north side of Inez/CR 46 connecting the sidewalks on the southside of Colony Pointe and Settlers Village Subdivision.   No road closures are anticipated with this connection.

Construction crews will be working in the Right-of-Ways before, during, and after all road closures.  Please be cautious when driving in these areas.  We appreciate your patience throughout the construction process.
