EMERGENCY WARNING SIRENS TO BE TESTED
Milliken, Colorado – On April 29, 2017 at 12:00 noon, both the Milliken and Johnstown Police departments will be conducting a joint test of the emergency warning sirens. The sirens will sound for approximately 30 seconds.
Siren tests ensure that all systems and procedures are working properly during the peak season for severe weather and related hazards such as tornados. The test also promotes public awareness of the warning sirens located in both towns.
If you hear the siren at any time other than a planned siren test, seek more information and be aware of your surroundings. You should take appropriate safety actions immediately.
Residents are encouraged to review their own emergency preparedness plans and discuss what they would do in the event of weather related emergencies.
